Financial services providers FastCash tax software product was originally built using FoxPro. Client wanted to migrate to .Net and needed more functionality and a greater degree of automation. Convergent software was assigned to develop a new state of the art system consisting of three software components - FastCash client, FastCash administration and FastCash host. The task involved designing, developing and deploying all three components and providing connectivity through internet, connectivity through (direct dial-up to client dial-up) remote access server infrastructures, and encrypted data file communication over TCP/IP. Client outsources support to many vendors and used a FoxPro application (no longer supported by Microsoft) to track vendor payments.
